About the role
The EMS Coordinator oversees the department’s EMS programs including protocol implementation, QA/QI, EMS data/reporting, ALS/BLS skills maintenance, and liaison work with the Medical Director, hospitals, and county EMS agency.
This role partners with Training, Operations, and Prevention to ensure consistent delivery of high‑quality prehospital care, and supports field crews with education, feedback, and clinical resources.
Highlights

Coordinate EMT/Paramedic CE and skills labs
Act as liaison to hospitals and county EMS
Guide protocol rollouts and training
Minimum qualifications
Current EMT‑P/Paramedic (California or NREMT) — or EMS RN
3–5 years field experience (ALS preferred)
Knowledge of county EMS protocols and CQI methods
Valid driver’s license; background/medical clearance
Preferred qualifications
Instructor certs (ACLS, PALS, PHTLS/ITLS, NAEMT programs)
Experience with EMS ePCR and data analysis
Bachelor’s degree in EMS, Healthcare Admin, or related
Bilingual Spanish/English
Pay & benefits
Salary: $84,576.00 – $124,992.00 annually (DOQ), plus incentives
